COLOUR TECH

This award recognises the most innovatice and creative colour technician. The entry must show suitability and technical skill, showcasing current colour fashions. The image will be judged on a total look of colour, make-up and styling. Colour used must be submitted with technique on a head sheet.

No hair pieces allowed in this category. Colours used must be L'Oreal or Wella.

FEMME

The entries for this category must showcase a fashionable, wearable and well-executed woman's hairstyle. This hairstyle will demonstrate great technical ability in both the cut and the colour used to enhance the finished look. It will be judged as a total fashion image, hair, make-up, and fashion styling.

A head sheet describing the colour and cutting technique is required to be submitted. No hair pieces are allowed in this category.

EDITORIAL

This category recognises the most fashion-forward stylist. The entry for this category must show an image which creatively demonstrates a good understanding of current and future fashion trends, incorporating editorial hair, make-up, and fashion.

Be inspired by national and international runways, and the pages of glossy magazine fashion spreads.

HOMME

This category recognises the most creative men's stylist. The entry for this category must demonstrate current men's fashion, cutting, styling, and grooming. This image is judged on a high fashion men's total look.

AVANT GARDE

This category looks for an image which pushes the boundaries between hair and art, creating a combination of the two. This look will show innovation, individuality and creativity, but also demonstrate perfect visual balance and harmony with relation to fashion and beauty. Visit galleries or museums, admire architecture or nature for your inspiration. 

 MORE GENERAL INFORMATION....

There are two levels for entries - Senior (qualified hairdressers) and Junior (apprentice hairdressers). Only individual entries will be accepted - no team or salon entries.

This competition is open to any Australian hairdresser, from both Intercoiffure member and non-member salons.
